Unfortunately CHNC does not provide research services. But I did do a quick search. I would suggest searching for this topic a few different ways. Sanitorium is at times spelled differently. Search by Sanatorium, Sanitorium and Sanitarium. I would also limit your search by years on either side of 1896. Search all newspapers within CHNC because Denver deaths may have been reported in other cities in Colorado.

You could further narrow that search by adding “died”, “death”, or “passed away” or any term that might have been used to refer to someone dying.
